If your looking for a fun day with the family Disney World is relatively close, near Orlando, it is only 125 miles away, about a 2.5 hour drive. You could also go see an exciting game watching the National Football League’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

·         Sarasota Classic Car Museum - America’s third oldest automobile museum with beautiful exhibits and fascinating artifacts.

·         Sarasota Jungle Gardens – with gardens, exotic birds and wildlife this park is Sarasota’s best and most visited family attraction.

·         South Florida Museum – a complex providing a look at the geologic and cultural history of Florida and includes the Bishop Planetarium and Parker Manatee Aquarium.

If you have a desire for theatre it can be filled in many places, by the Foreign Film Festival, the Asolo Theatre Company, Theatre Works, Florida Studio Theatre, Island Players, or Lemon Bay Playhouse for a start. 

For those who are interested in the sports scene there is much available for them too. For the avid golf player Sarasota is perfect. There are over 10 golf courses within 50 miles.
